John Benjamin, owner of Northfield Lines was presented February 9, 2012 with METRO Magazine’s “National Motorcoach Operator of the Year” Award at the United Motorcoach Association Expo, which was held in Long Beach, California.
The award is one of the top honors at the convention and states: “For their industry contributions and success in running one of the most well-regarded bus companies in the nation.”
John Benjamin was happy honored to accept the award on behalf of himself and his brother Larry, who passed away in November from Lung Cancer.
“METRO Magazine contacted me about this award eight days before Larry passed away. What a gift it was to share this with him, and I know he felt as honored and proud as I do, that our company’s hard work and dedication has been recognized.”
“My brother and I started in this business just over 23 years ago. At that time we had 6 motor coach vehicles and 32 school buses. Today, we are operating 37 motor coach vehicles and 80 school buses. Our success would not have been possible without our dedicated and hardworking employees” John said.
According to METRO Magazine, recipients of this award have employed innovation in their business, whether in marketing, the use of technology, training or safety, and have been involved in giving back to the industry.
